What is a Pre-Rift?

A Pre-Rift is Riftbound's prerelease weekend, run at participating stores in the week before a set goes on general sale. Each Pre-Rift Event Kit supports 16 players, and every player gets a small preconstructed deck, five booster packs from the new set, and an exclusive Pre-Rift promo card.

Pre-Rift windows so far: Spiritforged 6–12 February 2026, Unleashed 1–7 May 2026, Vendetta 24–30 July 2026, and Radiance 16–22 October 2026.

How often do Riftbound sets release?

Looking at the confirmed dates, main sets have landed roughly every three months: late October, mid February, early May, late July, late October. That is a pattern rather than an official commitment, but it is a reasonable planning assumption if you are budgeting for sealed product.

What's coming in 2027

Riot has confirmed two more set codes for 2027 — Legacy (LGC) and The Reckoning (REC) — along with a second Proving Grounds product (PG2). Exact 2027 release dates have been reported by third parties but are not yet confirmed on an official Riot page, so we are not printing them here. We will update this page as soon as they are.
